Here are some exciting activities to participate in this Saturday in Dekalb and at NIU. Lavender Bath Salts Workshop From 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. the Dekalb Public Library, located at 309 Oak St., is hosting a relaxation workshop where teens and adults can learn to make a lavender bath salt. The workshop is free.
DeKALB –While NIU engages in a Thanksgiving break every November, the university does not have fall break, as some other schools do. Whether or not to implement one is a debate that continues, but the issue is tricky. While an extra day to sleep in is always worth celebrating, adding a fall break may have.

DeKALB – The United Faculty Alliance (UFA) of the University Professionals of Illinois, Local 4100, the union representing tenured and tenure-track NIU faculty, addressed the Board of Trustees regarding their ongoing collective bargaining talks during the board’s meeting Thursday.
