The courthouse is a public building, and we wanted to have an opportunity to give people access to see things like the cupola, said Mark Leininger, county economic development director. This is a unique opportunity. This may be the only time in peoples lives when they can walk up to it and see it. We decided to put together some kind of an event for the public to be able to see what was done.
The new cupola and restored Lady Justice statue will be available for viewing in the parking lot, located on the south side of the courthouse, 10 a.m.-8 p.m. June 5-6.
BERLIN TOWNSHIP Holmes County Commissioner Joe Miller and other county officials held a dedication and viewing of Township Road 1019, also known as Crilow Road, located off of US Route 62, east of Berlin Mennonite Church on Monday. We inspected this project and it was done very well, said Holmes County Engineer Chris Young. It meets all the standards and we recommend that it become a public road.
Attorney Garrett Roach explained the road is located on two tracts of land, one going from the cul de sac south out to state Route 39. He said he couldn t remember a longer road being dedicated in his 30 years on the job,
