Police and protesters clashed as major West Coast cities triggered a violent protest on Breonna Taylor s death anniversary.
Taylor was killed during a police raid in Louisville, Kentucky, when two plainclothes police were delivering a search warrant in Taylor s residence.
The police forced their entry into Taylor s apartment, while she was in bed with her boyfriend, Kenneth Walker, a few minutes after midnights.
Some of the West Coast cities that participated in the protests were Los Angeles, Portland, and Seattle, according to a Fox News report.

Los Angeles police said they arrested 10 people, while four people were injured, including three officers, according to a My News LA report.

Thousands of demonstrators gathered across the country in various metro areas on Saturday to mark the first anniversary of Breonna Taylor s death. Taylor, a 26-year-old Black woman, was killed by police on Mar. 13, 2020, when officers raided her apartment in Louisville, Kentucky. Protesters across the country demanded police reform and the end to racial injustice.
While many of the protests started peaceful, as night fell, violence erupted.
On Saturday, activists and supporters assembled at Jefferson Square Park in Louisville to remember Taylor s life. Taylor s family joined the rally, where many called on lawmakers to hold the police officers involved in her shooting accountable for their actions. The city settled with Taylor s family in September for $12 million - the settlement also included several police reforms.
Video from the scene Saturday showed protesters climbing onto a Los Angeles police car and helmeted officers taking up positions near Hollywood Boulevard and Vine Street to contain about two dozen demonstrators.
Police Chief Michel Moore said Sunday that three officers were injured none seriously during clashes in Hollywood last night with demonstrators marking.
