There’ll be more funds raised for The Windmill on December 29th.
The unwavering support from artists who have first-hand experience of its importance to grassroots music will continue later this month when The Windmill in London hosts a Christmas livestream.
Shortly after they resurrected their Speedy Wunderground supergroup with Black Country, New Road to bring money to the venue, black midi are among those confirmed to be performing, along with Squid, Tiña, Kate Tempest and La Roux.
“Since we found out we were not eligible for the full funding, it’s been truly humbling how artists have come out to support the venue,” Windmill booker Tim Perry reflects.
