LAFAYETTE, La. â Lafayette City Marshal-Elect Reginald âReggieâ Thomas announced Tuesday that he has finalized the selection of the members of his transition team, which is tasked with providing advice and counsel to Thomas as he appoints key positions and prepares to assume office on Jan. 1, 2021.
According to a release, Thomas says he plans to immediately begin working towards the accreditation of the marshalâs office, improving community relations, as well as improving marshal training and resource management.
In order to assure a successful transition, the release states, he established a team of professionals who understand and share his vision, mission and goals for the Lafayette Marshalâs Office.
