A road protest gridlocked Birmingham today after bringing traffic to a crawl around a major junction. Free Palestine protesters planned the go-slow event to highlight the plight of Palestinians following an increase in violence in Israel.
Demonstrators gathered at the McDonald s on the A38 Bristol Road this afternoon before setting off on the demonstration after 3pm.
Motorists were advised to avoid Holloway Circus after the protest blocked the southbound carriageway. While a smaller group of protesters led a slow march through the Queensway Tunnel.
