BELLINGHAM, Wash. The only metal bass player serving on Bellingham’s City Council says she’s ready to serve another term.
Hollie Huthman has announced on her Facebook page that she’ll run this year to represent Ward 2 where she lives, rather than seek re-election to her current at-large position.
She says her first term brought a steep learning curve during “crisis, social unrest and strong movements for change.”
Huthman is the longtime owner of Bellingham’s Shakedown nightclub and is a member of the local heavy metal band Dryland.
