TITUSVILLE â Titusville Area Hospital was one of seven Pennsylvania hospitals Tuesday to receive a shipment of Pfizer-BioNTechâs COVID-19 vaccine, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Health.
Titusville received 975 doses of the vaccine to be given to health care workers in the Titusville area.
Vaccines will be administered this week to hospital employees and selected healthcare and emergency service organizations within Titusville Area Hospitalâs service area who would not otherwise have access to the vaccine, according to Holli Wolfe, the hospitalâs associate vice president of operations.
The hospital applied in November to receive the vaccine, Wolfe said. Since then, the TAH Emergency Preparedness COVID committee has spent long hours planning and preparing for the vaccine to arrive, Wolfe said.
