SAN DIEGO (KGTV) â Itâs not something weâve seen in San Diego for a while, a cruise ship docked at the Embarcadero.
But, the action wasnât on the ship, instead, it was inside of the B Street Pier and Cruise Ship Terminal where hundreds of cruise ship staff members got their first dose of the Pfizer vaccine.
Wednesday and Thursday, Sharp Health will vaccinate about 450 members from three Holland America Cruise ships in San Diego. Crew members will return to San Diego betwen 17 to 21 days later for the second dose.
Pandemic or not, couples want something to do for Valentine’s Day.
“Let’s Fall in Love,” a concert featuring singer Amanda Beagle backed by the Youngstown Symphony Orchestra Jazz Combo, was a quick sell-out at the DeYor Performing Arts Center’s Ford Family Recital Hall.
“I was really excited for the opportunity to perform live during these exceptional times,” Beagle said.
Beagle is no stranger to the stage, even if she hasn’t had many opportunities to perform since last March due to COVID-19. The Howland native has performed at New York’s Lincoln Center in the Little Orchestra Society’s production of “Babes in Toyland,” and she toured the world as a performer on Holland America Cruise Lines. The Dana School of Music graduate is a member of the Musical Theatre voice faculty at Youngstown State University, and she also teaches at SMARTS in Youngstown and at her private home studio in Howland.
