An Osage County resident, who for more than two months didn t realize they had a raffle ticket worth $1 million in their vehicle s console, recently came forward to claim their prize in that amount in the Kansas Lottery s Holiday Millionaire Raffle.
The winner has chosen to remain anonymous, the Lottery said in a news release Tuesday.
The winning ticket was sold at Bryan’s Liquor at 840 N. Washington in Auburn, Lottery spokeswoman Jessica Herrera said in the release. The retailer is eligible for a $1,000 selling bonus for selling the winning ticket, she said.
Holiday Millionaire Raffle tickets costing $20 each went on sale Sept. 1 for the raffle, which featured a $1 million grand prize and other prizes in smaller amounts.
