Council plans holiday food event

After a two-year hiatus, the Jefferson County Extension Homemakers Council will present its 2022 edition of Holiday Foods on Nov. 11 at Gallagher Hall of St. Joseph Catholic Church at West Sixth Avenue and Laurel Street. The doors will open at 9 a.m. Tickets are $20 and must be purchased in advance, according to a news release.

Sandy Smith presented the program, "Easy Canning," at the recent Heart-N-Hands Extension Homemakers Club meeting. The meeting and craft were held at the Pursuit Church at White Hall.

Club hears about pollinators

Willing Workers of White Hall s Extension Homemakers Club learned about "Birds, Bees, and Beetles" in a program presented by Karen Needler. The club met June 22 at the White Hall Library.
