TVS group board of directors give their nod for family arrangement

The board of directors of the $8.5 billion TVS Group s holding companies have approved the so-called memorandum of family arrangement (MFA) between various members of the TVS family. Present shareholders of the holding companies primarily consist of third and fourth generation family members of TVS Group founder T V Sundaram Iyengar. The group currently has over 50 companies that have been traditionally managed by members of different branches of the TVS family. Over the time, various members of the TVS family felt that the ownership of shares in various businesses should align with the management of respective businesses. The arrangement according to the MFA is envisioned to bring about amity and maintain goodwill among members of the TVS family. Family members said this will preserve memories of TV Sundaram Iyengar.

Myntra incurred ad expense of Rs 468 crore in FY20

December 30, 2020 By Javed Farooqui 36 The net total income of the company was Rs 1718.5 crore in the current fiscal as against Rs 1088.8 crore in the previous fiscal Online fashion retailer Myntra Designs’ advertisement expense jumped to Rs 468 crore for the fiscal ended 31st March 2020 from Rs 395.2 crore in the previous fiscal. The advertising promotional expense has climbed to Rs 552.9 crore in FY20 from Rs 409.6 crore in the previous fiscal, according to Registrar of Companies filing shared by market intelligence firm Tofler. Apart from advertisement expense, the advertising promotional expense also includes business promotion expenses, which increased to Rs 84.8 crore in FY20 from Rs 14.4 crore in FY19.

After accepting two initial applications by foreign capitalized asset managers to establish fund management companies (FMCs) on September 18, the China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC) recently provided feedback on the application materials submitted by the two foreign asset managers. The CSRC requested that Applicant 1 and Applicant 2 provide their respective responses within 30 working days, and upon reviewing their responses, the CSRC would then decide whether to allow these applications to proceed to next stage of consultations.
