They had ash eruptions the most recent was in 2008 but they are trying to figure out where, why and whats going on. Last eruption 1617. Last lava flow. Like several hundred years ago. Yes. It just suddenly appeared. This crater was famous in the area because there were cool parrots living inside. Green parrots live inside. The population has dropped. For unknown reasons.
