As anyone who has watched WKBW-TVâs âAM Buffaloâ for 30 years knows, host Linda Pellegrino likes to talk.
So, I suppressed laughter when Pellegrino said she asked for only two minutes to say goodbye at the end of her final show Friday.
After reminiscing with her for 30 minutes, I thought Pellegrino deserved a prime-time special. In the wide-ranging interview, she discussed memorable moments with Howard Stern, Sam Elliott, Robert Duvall, Warren Beatty and Eliot Spitzer.
She was so open that she even addressed being troubled when the morning program went to more and more paid segments.
âIt bothered me as more and more segments were taking over the show,â said Pellegrino. âThe concern was that the show wasn t for the community anymore. It was for the sponsors. That management is gone. I currently have a management that s much more about the community involvement back on the show, which has been really nice.â
