John-Peter Amewu, Member of Parliament (MP) for Hohoe Constituency, has said government could only deliver on its mandate when people work hard. Government can only deliver on its mandate when hardworking people are sent to the most difficult places to work, he said.
Mr Amewu, who is the Minister-designate for Railway Development in a statement on his new portfolio and copied to the Ghana News Agency (GNA), said a new appointment, a new Ministry, a new challenge with its many opportunities. I am happy to announce that I am the Railway Development Minister designate. My appreciation and gratitude goes to President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for his confidence in me.

Election 2020 is over, but the legal battles surrounding the parliamentary election have just begun. The two major political parties the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) have crossed swords in courtrooms across the country in a bid to increase their seats in Parliament.
So far, 16 parliamentary election petitions have been filed at various High courts eight against elected NPP MPs and eight against NDC MPs.
The NDC constituencies in dispute are Buem, Kintampo North, Savelugu, Pusiga, Jomoro, Assin North, Banda and Krachi West.
With regard to the NPP, the seats in contention are Techiman South, Hohoe, Tano South, Tarkwa Nsuaem, Essikado Ketan, Tema West, Zabzugu and Sefwi Wiawso.

Professor Margaret Kweku, NDC Parliamentary Candidate for Hohoe Constituency and the four other Interested Parties have today filed an application in the Supreme Court seeking a review of the court rsquo;s decision on 5th January 2021 to quash certain orders a High Court in Ho made on 23rd December 2020, including an order to restrain Peter Amewu from holding himself out as Member of Parliament -Elect for Hohoe Constituency. Eighteen grounds of the fundamental error of law have b
