Regional hotels are bouncing back faster from the pandemicâs hit than their big-city luxury hotel cousins.
Popular beach town Byron Bay, on NSWâs north coast, has been pumping since well before the Christmas holidays. âOn the streets itâs difficult to get a taxi,â says Jordan Rodgers, the general manager of the townâs 92-suite upmarket Byron at Byron hotel.
The pandemic has slammed the door shut on big city hotelâs main source of income for last 10 months.
