The local music community, stuck at home for the past year, is finally getting out to fire up their amps now that restrictions are loosening up a bit here in the Northwest Indiana area.
Giovanni Taliaferro, Director of Memorabilia Design for Hard Rock International, uncrated the âGuitar the Changed the Worldâ on Thursday. The guitar will be displayed inside the casino as part of the music memorabilia collection.
Several bands realize musicians are not the only ones who have been affected by and suffered from the extended COVID-induced shut down. Seven heavy and hard rock groups are taking the opportunity this Saturday to step up and help one of the key venues in Northwest Indiana that has been home to some of the Region s heavier bands for the last couple of years.

Spring is upon us and it s finally time to get things blooming again in the world of entertainment locally and elsewhere. Green Door Books is writing its next chapter. The used bookstore, known for its art shows, $1 books, extensive zine library and namesake green door, is moving to a bigger spot in downtown Hobart after the local chain Toys in the Attic bowed out.
