Crossroads continues the March Women s History Month Feature with music from three artists born on March 20th - Gulf Coast blues piano favorite Marcia Ball, the Queen of New Orleans Blues Marva Wright, and gospel guitar great Sister Rosetta Tharpe (also featured in a special in hour two of the show).
And because no good holiday should go to waste,
Crossroads celebrates National Poultry Day (March 19th) with some Grade A cuts from Little Feat, the Rolling Stones, Lloyd Jones, Louis Jordan, Jimmy Smith, Chickenbone Slim, and Super Chikan to mark the occasion.
