good morning. jose good morning. yesterday was obviously a very interesting day here. we saw for the first time some emotion from dzhokhar tsarnaev in this trial, but we also heard through the transcripts about one of the side bars where the defense asked to a mistrial and in would say if your defense attorney doesn t ask for a couple in a case like this they re not doing their jobs. but this involved a question on redirect on cross-examination, i should say, from the governments to one of the family members who had reported that dzhokhar tsarnaev when he was a little boy cried during the lion king movie when mufasa the lion king father was killed in this battle. wouldn t you think that there s a little difference from and i m paraphrasing here from the cartoon character dying and from hundreds of people suffering. there was an objection. the defense asked for a mistrial which was denied. the first up today is someone from the russian community. later we re expecting to hear
whatsoever. no injuries whatsoever. he is not shot. joy reed joins me this morning. what a pleasure to see you. great to see you, as always jose. let s talk about the attorney general s visit today. what do we know about it? so i m told by justice department officials that there are going to be four stops to this trip today. the attorney general is bringing with her the three democratic congressman, ben cardin barbara mikulski and elijah cummings. and they re going to meet with the mayor and with the city commission. they re going to meet with law enforcement officers. i m told that the attorney general wants to not just meet with the community but she also wants to meet with law enforcement officials to sort of give them some sort and say we understand that they have families, too, and the good officers who are doing a good job shouldn t be overshadowed by the others. they ll start at the university of baltimore with the community and they ll wrap up with a meeting with young
