मुस्लिम धर्म में ईद का पर्व बेहद विशेष माना जाता है। वर्ष में ईद दो बार आती है, एक बार मीठी ईद तथा इसके पश्चात् बकरीद। मीठी ईद को Eid-ul-Fitr बोला जाता है, जबकि बकरीद को बकरा ईद, Eid-Ul-Zuha या Eid al-Adha बोला जाता है। रमजान के पश्चात् मीठी ईद मनाई जाती है जिसमें सेवइयां खाने का चलन है, जबकि बकरीद पर बकरे की बलि दी जाती है।
