Adiwang faces Hexigetu in ONE: Unbreakable in Singapore
Lito Thunder Kid Adiwang has licked his wounds and is ready to start fresh in 2021.
Wanting to stay more active this year, Adiwang gets his wish as he takes on Wolf Of The Grasslands Hexigetu of China in ONE Championship s first show this year - ONE: Unbreakable - set for Friday, 22 January, at the Singapore Indoor Stadium. Thunder Kid quickly became a force in the stacked ONE strawweight division after jumping from ONE Warrior Series to the main roster, where he scored two first-round wins.
Adiwang, however, hit a brick wall last November when he lost a close split decision at the hands of Hiroba Minowa at ONE: INSIDE THE MATRIX III, derailing his momentum and bringing his seven-match winning run to a halt.
Lito Adiwang will become the first Filipino and Team Lakay fighter to return in the Circle this year with a mission to bounce back from his recent loss last November.
Zamboanga siblings share limelight in dim year for Philippine MMA Rolando Dy, Joshua Pacio and Denice Zamboanga did fine in a tough year for Pinoy MMA.
IN a year where the MMA scene was emphatically taken down, the Zamboanga siblings provided a welcome surprise for Filipino fight fans.
Women s atomweight contender Denice and her bantamweight brother Drex have kept themselves busy as they put themselves in position for possible title shots in 2021.
Denice, 23, racked up impressive victories, first a decisive unanimous decision win over former challenger Mei Yamaguchi in February, and an emphatic first-round submission triumph over Watsapinya Kaewkhong in August.

Undefeated strawweight contender Bokang Masunyane called out reigning champion Joshua Pacio of Team Lakay after winning against Rene Catalan in ONE: Big Bang at the Singapore Indoor Stadium weeks ago.
The South African wrestler showed a different side of him that night, finishing Catalan in 37 seconds with a lethal left high kick.
The win gave him the confidence to challenge the champion after winning two straight times since his ONE Championship debut last year, even declaring himself as “the best in the division.”
“I’d like to challenge the champion. And if the champion is not ready, No. 1 or No. 2, I’m always ready. But I’ve got my eye on the title,” said the unranked Masunyane, who improved to an 8-0 record.
