The La Crosse schools Facility Advisory Committee has voted 11 to 5 to recommend the closure of Hintgen Elementary School due to fiscal, educational, and capacity reasons. The committee s decision comes as the district seeks to consolidate elementary schools in response to declining enrollment and aging facilities. The School Board will hold public comment sessions before making a final decision.
