One person died and four were injured after a boat rolled over in Seneca Lake and ejected everyone on board Saturday.
Yates County sheriff s deputies and marine patrol responded at 5:22 p.m. near Himrod for a report of a boating accident with multiple people in the water, according to Sheriff Ron Spike.
A high-performance speed boat was traveling south on the lake at a fast speed when it made an abrupt turn, Spike said. The 45-foot boat overturned and six people on board were ejected.
One person was killed and four people were injured. One person did not suffer any injuries.

Sheriff Ron Spike says that a little before 5:30 p.m. Yates County 911 received a call for a boat accident on Seneca Lake with multiple people in the water.
Deputies and marine patrol responded along with Himrod Fire Department, and multiple ambulances.
As of Saturday night the investigation was still active, but Spike said that a high speed boat was traveling south on the lake at a high rate of speed when it made an abrupt turn- causing it to rollover.
