Share of HFCL rose nearly 18 per cent to hit a 52-week high of Rs 43.75 on BSE today.
Later, the stock ended 14.52 per cent higher at Rs 42.60 against the previous close of Rs 37.20. The stock has gained 311 per cent in one year and risen 65 per cent since the beginning of this year. HFCL s share stands higher than 5 day, 10 day, 20 day, 50 day, 100 day, and 200 day moving averages.

With the government’s thrust on rural broadband network infrastructure, the company to tap vast potential besides the export market. HFCL (formerly Himachal Futuristic Communications Limited) has launched a fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) cable manufacturing facility at its facility here. It has begun commercial production of optical fibre cables for fibre-to-home applications on December 16.
“With the start of this new facility in Hyderabad, HFCL, along with its subsidiary HTL Limited, has become the largest manufacturer of FTTH cables in the country with a total capacity of 6 lakh km per annum,” an HFCL spokesperson said.
The firm invested ₹260 crore in its Hyderabad plant for the manufacturing of optical fibre. It was commissioned in January 2020.
