FAIRMONT Private graveside services for Helen L. Ring, 98, of Fairmont, Minn., will be held for close family at Fairview Memorial Park Cemetery in Fairmont. Lakeview Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Fairmont is assisting the family with arrangements.
Helen Lenora Wokasch was born Dec. 20, 1921, the daughter of Thomas and Hilma Wokasch. She attended school in Fairmont. On April 19, 1944, she was united in marriage to Alvin Ring in Fairmont. They shared nearly 50 years together until Alvin passed on March 20, 1992, at the age of 78. They were blessed with two children. Helen enjoyed being a homemaker and mother, but she enjoyed being a grandmother even more. Pets were always important, and cats had a special place in her heart. “Come on in, the door is open, and the coffee pot is on.” Friends and family were always welcome at Mom’s house and a chair was waiting for you at the kitchen table. You knew you would be served the best coffee around. Thanks Mom.
