Excited pupils from 50 Nelson Mandela Bay and Kouga schools contested round one of The Herald Isuzu Schools Quiz at the Tramways Building in Gqeberha on Saturday.
For some it’s just a job, but for many others it’s a passion and a calling which sees them return to their classrooms each day determined to make a difference in the lives of their pupils.
Raised in a cramped two-roomed house in Salt Lake, in Gqeberha’s northern areas, 18-year-old Dylon Baartman vowed to do his best and rise above his circumstances.
