Dozens of people spent their Wednesday evening at Hillside Park Baptist Church to pray for firefighter Ronnie Metcalf. He was pulled from a burning house fire in Lexington, Tuesday morning.
Two suspects have been identified for multiple vandalism against possibly multiple churches, according to a Thomasville pastor.Pastor Steve Chipps with the Hillside Park Baptist Church said he is heartbroken, but knows some people are desperate right now.According to Chipps, someone came by and stole parts from one of the church buses used for the pre-school and after-school programs.He credited one of the congregation members for helping to repair the bus. This is a very special place and to think somebody would come to a church of all places and do this it s just very disappointing, Chipps said. The two suspects then came back, the pastor said. And this time, they were caught on surveillance cameras.
