Sunnymead first grade teacher named Governor s Education of the Year

Sonier has been a member of the Hillsborough School District faculty for eight years. She created Bitmoji classrooms and interactive libraries as a way to engage virtual students this past year, according to a proclamation presented by the Hillsborough Township Committee on May 25. She was a volunteer liaison for the Sunnymead Home and School Association for one year and a Hillsborough Education Association representative for several years, according to the statement.

Hillsborough Eagle Scout creates irrigation system for Cambridge School s learning garden

× Joseph Cincotta, a sophomore at The Cambridge School in Pennington, earned the rank of Eagle Scout by building a self-watering irrigation system for the Cambridge School’s learning garden. He is a Hillsborough resident.PHOTO COURTESY OF HILLSBOROUGH TOWNSHIP Joseph Cincotta, a sophomore at The Cambridge School in Pennington, earned the rank of Eagle Scout as a member of Boy Scout Troop 89. His Eagle Scout project consisted of building a self-watering irrigation system for the Cambridge School’s learning garden. The system consists of a gutter system that collects water into a rain barrel, delivering the water via underground hoses to soaker hoses in the garden beds.
