The State of Florida Issues Tropical Storm Elsa Updates
Governor Ron DeSantis is in constant communication with Florida Division of Emergency Management (FDEM) Director Kevin Guthrie as the State of Florida continues to monitor and respond to the threat of Tropical Storm Elsa.
Governor DeSantis issued Executive Order 21-151, expanding the State of Emergency for Tropical Storm Elsa. The State of Emergency now includes the following counties: Alachua, Charlotte, Citrus, Collier, Columbia, Dixie, Franklin, Gilchrist, Hamilton, Hernando, Hillsborough, Jefferson, Lafayette, Lake, Lee, Levy, Manatee, Marion, Monroe, Pasco, Pinellas, Sarasota, Sumter, Suwanee, Taylor and Wakulla counties. DeSoto, Hardee and Miami-Dade counties are no longer under a State of Emergency due to the changed projected path of Tropical Storm Elsa.

Feb. 12 TALLAHASSEE Florida s top auditor told a House committee that the state probe into the compensation of executive salaries at social welfare organizations was not any kind of witch hunt but instead was an attempt at bringing transparency to the process of state and federal funds used by privately run entities. We are on a fact-finding mission, doing research so that the policymakers such as yourselves can decide what to do with the facts that we reveal, Melinda Miguel, the chief inspector general for Gov. Ron DeSantis, told the House Governmental Operations Subcommittee on Wednesday.
