No appointment needed at FEMA coronavirus vaccine sites in Hillsborough and Polk counties
Walker Road Park in Lakeland is one of two FEMA mobile sites that opened Thursday. The other is at Hillsborough Community Collegeâs Southshore campus in Ruskin. They are open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and appointments are not required.

LAKELAND, Fla. â Two new FEMA drive-up COVID-19 vaccination sites are up and running in Hillsborough and Polk counties.
There was virtually no wait time at the FEMA drive-up satellite vaccination site at Walker Road Park in Lakeland. Some are even comparing it to going to a Fastfood drive-thru.

A federal COVID-19 vaccination site will open in Ruskin on Thursday as officials move two mobile vaccination facilities to try to reach new communities.
The new site in Ruskin will be at Hillsborough Community Collegeâs SouthShore campus, at 551 24th St. NE. The site will be available March 11-14 and then will be moved again, to Plant City Stadium, 1810 S Park Road in Plant City, where it will stay through March 17.
