The Oak Park girls team added to its legacy by winning yet another Division 1 title at last weekend's state track and field meet at East Kentwood High School.
Host Detroit Country Day kept it fairly level for six innings until visiting Farmington Hills Mercy broke out for a big seventh inning to win 10-2 in the season opener for both teams Monday afternoon.
Farmington Hills Mercy defeated Forest Hills Northern 13-25, 23-25, 25-21, 25-22, 15-12 in the Division 1 volleyball state final on Saturday, Nov. 18, 2023 from Kellogg Arena in Battle Creek.
