M. , the Oakland Police department was requested to assist bart with an officer involved shooting. Our Oakland Police officers arrived at 7th and chester. When officers arrived they learned that a bart officer dressed in full Police Uniform had discharged his firearm. There were two adult males who were taken to a local hospital for treatment of gunshot wounds. We have recovered our our technician is here and we have recovered a firearm from the scene. Stigators aren now at 11 00 a deadly confrontation between a bart Police Officer and two suspects right outside the west oakland station. But tonight investigators arent exactly sure who fired the lethal shot. The shooting left one suspect dead, another suspect in the hospital tonight. It all happened right as the evening rush hour began. Kpix5 is at the scene with what a witness saw moments before the gunfire. I spoke to a witness who says that she heard arguing between these men and the shooting happened across the street and behind me.
