A two-car crash on Thursday afternoon in rural Lincoln County killed a woman from Mill City and caused one adult driver and five children to be hospitalized for their injuries.
Oregon State Police and emergency personnel responded to a report of a crash in the H.B. Van Duzer Forest State Scenic Corridor on Oregon 18 around 2:40 p.m. on New Year’s Eve. Six other government agencies or ambulance providers responded, in addition to state troopers.
According to state troopers, a preliminary investigation revealed that Julien Doudna, a 35-year-old father from Mill City, was attempting to cross from a rest area on the north side of the highway to a rest area on the south side in the family’s Honda Pilot. Doudna “collided with a Toyota Land Cruiser” that Scott Brady, 49, of Salem, was driving eastbound on the highway.
