AMSTERDAM Hill & Markes, a 114-year-old wholesale distributor, is hosting a virtual Ice Cream and Food Service Tradeshow on Friday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on hillnmarkes.virtuallyevents.com.
The interactive show will highlight new products and trends in the ice cream and food service business with industry experts.
Ice cream shop owners will have the chance to engage with the coolest vendors around, see new products, and get ready for the upcoming season.
Food Service businesses will have the opportunity to discuss state-of-the-industry with key manufacturers and learn about in-demand trends and new products.
“Hill & Markes is excited for the chance to connect with our ice cream and food service customers this year with our cutting-edge virtual tradeshow.! In Albany, KeyBank is donating $20,000 to Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Albany’s COVID Relief Fund to support Capital Region residents in need during the holiday season and winter months .The fund is designated to support residents of the Albany Diocese who have been affected by the covid pandemic and subsequent business shutdowns. Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Albany is one of the largest non-profits in the region and is providing support and relief to residents affected by the pandemic through services that include rental assistance, domestic violence programs, nutritional support and overdose prevention, according to a press release. In October, Catholic Charities provided $2,100 in emergency funding and in December so far has distributed over $5,000. FONDA Business leaders in Montgomery County recently met with local representatives to discuss efforts to help promote employers who face issues brought on by rising COVID-19 cases.
As virus cases continue to rise, Montgomery County Executive Matt Ossenfort and members of the Business Advisory Committee met to discuss how the county can continue to assist local businesses while protecting public health.
“This has been a year like no other, and the hurdles presented by the pandemic in recent weeks have made it particularly important to continue to engage our business community,” said Ossenfort said. “Getting the perspective of local leaders who are trying to adapt in the current climate provides me with valuable insight that I can pass on when meeting with state leaders and other elected officials as part of our Regional Control Room meetings. While the County has rightly placed a heavy emphasis on protecting the public health this year, we also wan
