Hill County Added To Federal Major Disaster Declaration Hill County was one of 31 Texas counties added to the President s Major Disaster Declaration for Individual Assistance Monday, February 22. Those who have insurance and are applying for disaster assistance must also file a claim with their insurance company as soon as possible. By law, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) cannot duplicate benefits for losses covered by insurance.
