A new hotel has opened in the Camp Hill area.
The Comfort Suites Camp Hill - Harrisburg West opened at 100 Bar South Drive in East Pennsboro Township on Dec. 30.
The hotel has 113 rooms including 16 one-bedroom suites with full kitchenette, meeting facilities and a fitness center. State College-based Hospitality Asset Management Company will provide daily operational management and oversight for the property.
The hotel is built on the site of the former Senate Plaza building and is located in the Camp Hill Commons, which also includes the Centerpointe Apartments, First Watch, Starbucks, Fons Nail & Spa, Supercuts, Tonino’s Pizza, Olive Oil Grill, Sprint and Bronze Bunny Airbrush & Sugar Spa.
Park Hill Commons, a multi-use development at 2890 Fairfax Street, is getting its own coffee shop. Therizo Cafe + Tap will join other businesses like Sexy Pizza, Towards Justice and Park Hill Coworking that have already opened in the complex. Owner Dustin Barrett hopes Therizo s doors will be open for carryout service by next month.
Originally from Texas, Barrett moved to Denver in 2013 and worked in business and technology; he spent a year at Novo Coffee before deciding to open his own cafe. He wanted to use his business background to create positive social change, and thought focusing on the growers of the products consumed in a cafe would accomplish that goal.

Can’t possibly imagine what surprises 2021 has in store for Denver and Front Range restaurants? Frankly, neither can we. But the future still feels hopeful at least for these 18 spots slated to open throughout the year.
Most are located around Denver, but we’ve also unearthed a few coming to Fort Collins, Boulder and Colorado Springs. And we’ve spotted some trends already.
Pizza seems to be a strong bet moving forward. The pandemic has shown Denver restaurants what people really want in times of distress. The answer: cheese and bread, of course. (See also ice cream in that same category. And throw in tacos and tequila, too.)
