After nearly two years of preliminary planning, the University of Pennsylvania will move forward with a new, $75 million student performing arts center on 33rd Street and Woodland Walk. The project, which includes a 300-seat theater, 125-seat studio theater and five practice spaces, will begin construction in fall of 2024 and will be completed by the winter of 2027.
The new student-centered performing arts venue to be built along Woodland Walk and 33rd Street will provide multiple flexible spaces for teaching, rehearsals, and student performances.
