Student teams representing public middle and high schools in every US congressional district were invited to show their investing prowess by managing high-performing, diversified portfolios. Remarkably, despite continued school disruptions this year, more than 10,000 students and their teachers persevered to finish the Challenge, demonstrating incredible commitment and achieving impressive results. Sled dog racing season canceled due to COVID pandemic for NY couple

While most Central New York residents are looking forward to spring weather, Jim and Bonnie Nessia of Schuyler are looking forward to next winter. That’s because the Nessias race sled dogs, and after a season of canceled races due to COVID-19 and a recent cancellation due to lack of snow, they’re hoping to get their dogs back in competition next winter. Last year, Bonnie Nessia and a Howlin’ Harmony Huskies four-dog team finished first for the fourth year in a row in the 4.5-mile class at the 2020 Tug Hill Challenge in Mannsville. That finish, along with placements in other sanctioned races during the 2019-20 season, earned her third place among more than 90 competitors from 16 countries in the International Federation of Sledding Sports World Cup.
