Independent councillors and representatives from smaller parties have raised concerns about new proposals in relation to the running of Derry City and Strabane District Council meetings.
A raft of new measures have been put forward in a bid to reduce the length of council meetings.
At present, the monthly meetings of the council regularly last for more than eight hours.

Councillors in Derry today observed a minute s silence as a mark of respect for Prince Philip.
The Duke of Edinburgh died on Friday at the age of 99.
Derry City and Strabane District Council has opened an online Book of Condolence to allow local people to pass on messages of sympathy.
The council s Planning Committee held its monthly meeting today.
At the start of the virtual meeting, DUP Alderman Hilary McClintock said it was the first meeting to be held since Prince Philip s death.

Tributes have been paid to a well-known and well-liked woman who died in a house fire in Londonderry.
Heather Diamond, who was in her 50s, was pronounced dead at the scene of the fire at Rossdowney Road on Sunday morning.
Emergency services were called to the fire at about 07:30 GMT.
DUP councillor Hilary McClintock said she was both adventurous and energetic and will be sorely missed .
Mrs McClintock said there was a great sense of shock and loss from the local communities.
She added: She was very well-known, she was very energetic, an adventurous lady, one who will be sorely missed.

Planning permission has been refused for a housing development in Derry which attracted more than 500 objections.
The plans involved the construction of 33 houses at a riverside site at Rossbay off the Limavady Road.
Residents in the area had raised a large number of concerns in relation to the plans, including road safety and congestion issues.
The plans were first submitted to Derry City and Strabane District Council s planning department in 2016.
