Mousaw, Colton, was selected as a national FEMA BRIC (Building Resilient Infrastructure and Communities) panelist for nationwide qualitative reviews of the 2020 BRIC applications. BRIC panelist selection was by invitation only. Building Resilient Infrastructure and Communities (BRIC) will support states, local communities, tribes and territories as they undertake hazard mitigation projects, reducing the risks they face from disasters and natural hazards. Ms. Mousaw is a FEMA certified exercise evaluator and is FEMA certified in Dam Failure preparedness. In March, Ms. Mousaw assisted in the review of applications nationwide on breakwater infrastructure, wildfire prevention, drought resistant landscaping, communications, dam and bridge failure and other major capital projects for determination of the distribution of $500 million Federal dollars.
