PETALING JAYA: The Association of Highway Concessionaires Malaysia has welcomed Putrajaya’s decision to postpone toll rate increases.
Its president Datuk Azman Ismail said concessionaires understand the government’s decision amid the challenges the country is facing from the Covid-19 pandemic.
“(The association) and all highway concessionaires will continue to be committed to helping the country weather the Covid-19 pandemic as well as continue providing our best services to ensure the safety and comfort of all our highway users.
“We also ask for the support and cooperation of all highway users to drive carefully and to comply with all Covid-19 standard operating procedures set by the National Security Council and the Health Ministry for the safety and well-being of all parties, ” he said in a statement yesterday.

Its president Datuk Azman Ismail said they understand the government s decision following the challenges that the country faced due to the Covid-19 pandemic. PSKLM and all the highway concessionaire companies will continue to be committed to help the country weather through the Covid-19 pandemic as well as continue to provide our best services to ensure the safety and comfort of all our highway users. PSKLM also urged for the support and cooperation of highway users to drive carefully and to comply with Covid-19 standard operating procedures (SOP) that is set by the National Security Council and the Health Ministry for the safety and well-being of all parties, he said in a statement on Sunday (May 2).
