The suspect is dead. He appeared to be carrying a rifle, an assault type rifle and a handgun, and had some type of device on him. The incident started around 2 00 this morning eastern time, shortly after the nightclub posted this message on its Facebook Page everyone get out of pulse and keep running. Pulse is the name of the nightclub. Police now say an officer responded and there was a shootout outside the club. The gunman then ran inside and a hostage situation began. About three hours later about 5 00 a. M. Eastern police used an Armored Vehicle to knock down the door and enter the club. They shot and killed the gunman.
