especially in parts of the northeast. take a look at what we have in store today. your heat index going from 98 to 101. this is what it s going to feel like in parts of the bronx. up by yankee stadium the temperature gauge got up to 110 degrees yesterday. no joke. we ll see that heat also around philadelphia, heat index around say 98 all the way to about 106. that should last through about wednesday. however, we should see it continue through places like say the nation s capital for about the entire week. in fact, highs today in d.c. going up to 100 degrees. and something more alarming if you take a look at d.c. at 100, cast your eyes to the gulf coast. mid to upper 80s, atlanta and new orleans. it s actually warmer in parts of the northeast than it is on the gulf coast. then you head out towards las vegas and phoenix. i know this is dry heat but hot is hot and that s really going to fit the bill in parts of the desert southwest. 68 degrees in kansas city. 72 in los angeles. we ve got
