WORTHINGTON After hearing numerous times from individuals concerned about their inability to pay for a loved one’s care at the Sunset Hospice Cottage in Worthington, the board of directors worked tirelessly to establish an endowment. It became a reality four years ago, and now, anyone in need of end-of-life care can become a resident of the cottage, regardless of financial ability.
Candidates for Worthington City Council appeared at the Worthington Event Center Tuesday night to take part in a forum hosted by FORWARD Worthington’s Governmental Affairs Committee.

Fuerst
WORTHINGTON A Wednesday afternoon report of a man who was trespassing and acting disorderly at a local business prompted a response by several officers from the Worthington Police Department and the Nobles County Sheriff s Office.
Law enforcement were informed upon arrival at Highland Manufacturing that the suspect, identified as John Fuerst, 61, of Rushmore, had fled the scene.
A victim stated that upon leaving work, they had found Fuerst waiting for them at their vehicle. Fuerst allegedly grabbed the victim by the throat and threatened to kill them, then tried to pulled them into Fuerst s vehicle. It was also reported that Fuerst told the victim he owns several weapons.
