Firefighters dispatched to a house fire early Tuesday morning in Northwest Indiana found a man dead when they were able to gain access to an upstairs bedroom. According to the Highland (Ind.) Police Department public information officer, police officers were first dispatched to a single-family, two-story residence in the 2300 block of 81st Street, in the Wicker Park Manor subdivision, around 4 a.m. Tuesday to reports of a structure fire.
