A TINY hedgehog which was close to death has made a âmiraculousâ recovery after spending 80 days in the Highland Hedgehogs Rescue Centre at Brora.
Dornoch couple Alan and Margaret Latham-Sumner contacted the centre after becoming concerned about the state of a little hedgehog they had named Coconut Mushroom which frequented their garden.
Nicky Knight, who runs the hedgehog hospital with husband Adrian, said Coconut Mushroom weighed just 277g when she collected him on December 4. He also had a heavy parasite burden and as a result was suffering from fluke and lung worm.
