I want to recognize my mother and father, the good ridges, who [indiscernible] they helped us pull this off. I am lucky in my inlaws. My mom and dad, who are over here. We both have strong, tough mothers. If you havent had a chance to meet my mom and dad i hope youll make that opportunity tonight. Four years ago and the last primary season we had a lot of candidates running for president but we didnt have enough serious, credible candidates. If governor bush were to become a candidate he is the one person antidote for that problem. His family has distinguished itself in service to
Director brennan it is a hypothetical, the iranians have certainly bought to bear many capabilities. We are working closely with the militias there. We have been able to amass enough force to push back against isil insurgence. The Coalition Strikes have softened up a lot of the iso forces and have disrupted their majestic networks. There logistics networks. There has been tremendous effort made by the coalition in terms of rights. Charlie and in the iraqi army are they fighting any better . Director brennan i think they have been able to regroup. There are training elements going on right now. A number of iraqi forces have been able to augment the forces already there. The coalition is engaged in trying to strengthen those forces with the training and advice. These will take time. We expect things not to turn around immediately. This is going to be a long tough fight. We know isil has a lot of material. They also have shown they are willing to kill the cells in certain areas. This has
On this monday morning and as the house returns from their weeklong break progress in a key piece of legislation in a rare display of bipartisanship. House leaders are pursuing a deal to permanently change the way medicare pays doctors and to exchange extend the Health Program for two years. You could be introduced as soon as this week. Both john boehner and nancy pelosi are personally involved to the point that pelosi reached out to harry reid in recent days. The house returns today at noon eastern with legislative work starting at 2 00 p. M. Including a measure to fund, care centers. Later this week, they are affected to take a bit resolution disapproving in in live coverage of the house here on cspan. The senate gathering at 3 00 p. M. Eastern today. Depending on the outcome, it is possible senators could begin a debate this week on the nomination of Loretta Lynch to be the next attorney general. Mitch mcconnell has set her nomination will only come up after the Senate Moves Forward
As noted by the witnesses in Opening Statements and the committee members, one of the challenges that the criminals are out there watching the Internal Revenue service. They realize that they . 1 trillion goes to the irs on an annual basis and 300 74 billion in refunds. It is a very ripe target for them. As iris continues to try and advance its filters in advance to new approaches to the fraud the criminals change because it is a lucrative environment. Our audit staff continues to look at the filters the irs has in place and comment and recommend additional or improved filters. We have seen improvement in some of them, but if he can that it continues to be a major and challenge to keep up with communal enterprise. Thank you very much.
