Following the success of the first Healthcare Heroes Day in 2020, the High River District Health Care Foundation decided to make this an annual day of celebration.
“We invite the community to join us and acknowledge the incredibly hard working local team in High River and Nanton who are caring for our community day in and day out,” reads an April 29 news release from the High River District Health Care Foundation. “From health care aids, to food services, home care workers, housekeeping, lab techs, administration, nurses and physicians we want to salute them all.

The money came out of the Legion’s poppy fund, and will be used towards the System 2000 Assisted Bathing Solutions at the High River Hospital.
