CASPER, Wyo. The Wyoming Senate is working to formally protest President Joe Biden administration’s oil and gas policies. They passed Senate Joint Resolution 03 on first reading on Thursday which aims to send a message to the Biden administration that orders suspending oil and gas development negatively impact Wyoming.
Whether resolutions have any impact was a matter of debate.
“I’m not a big fan of resolutions,” Sen. Ed Cooper (Big Horn, Fremont, Hot Springs, Park, Washakie County) said. “I think the net result of them is usually to inform the person on the other end that we have removed them from our Christmas card list. But this one is important.”
