Researchers at Penn State’s High-Pressure Combustion Laboratory on the University Park campus will continue ongoing small-scale detonation experiments during the week of Aug. 22. Each test will generate a single, short, loud impulse noise that may be noticeable outside the test facility. The next round of testing will occur between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 24, with two or three detonation experiments expected.
